Chillicothe City Schools honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We hope you will all reflect on his messages of peace and equality throughout his life. 💙
Martin Luther King Jr. was a prominent civil rights leader and minister who advocated for racial equality through nonviolent resistance. Born in 1929, he became the face of the American civil rights movement, delivering his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. King’s tireless efforts led to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Tragically, he was assassinated in 1968, but his legacy continues to inspire generations worldwide.

After causing mayhem the last couple of weeks over here at Chillicothe Intermediate School, The Grinch has finally been apprehended!
Here is the official statement from our officers:
After several mischievous acts including theft, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and breaking and entering into the Chillicothe Intermediate School, it was investigated by our School Resource Officers, and determined to be none other than the notorious green criminal we all know and love as the Grinch. He tried very hard to steal our Christmas Joy, along with food items, and decorations, but due to our swift, fast acting, and smart School Resource Officers Timothy Boltenhouse, Julie Preston, and Darren Hall, in conjunction with the help of Captain Michael Short, the continued destruction and devastation of Christmas was ended. We would like to take this time to wish everyone in Chillicothe a Happy Holiday and a very Happy New Year!

Christmas came early over at Chillicothe Primary School. The students got a surprise visit from Santa Claus and the...Grinch!? A surprising duo given the Grinch's history with Christmas, but he must have turned over a new leaf, since he was here to spread Christmas Cheer (and not steal the kids' presents!) All of our CPS students also received a gift from Thomas Worthington High School. We are so grateful to them for their generosity, and the presents of course! What a great day to kick off our holiday break!

Hello Cavaliers! Can you believe it's time for winter break? We can't! Today's early release will mark the beginning of the break. We hope you enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation with your loved ones. Bundle up, stay warm, and have a safe holiday season. We'll see you again January 8th, for another awesome semester of learning and making memories.

We are immensely proud of our high school and middle school orchestras for the beautiful performances they delivered last night; they were absolutely fantastic!
We would also like to congratulate Concertmaster AJ Noel, Student Conductor Madison Gothard, last night's soloists, and Orchestra Conductor Ms. Lauren Edwards for helping our students grow as musicians!

Be sure to come out to the children's play this weekend! The students have been working so hard to prepare "James and the Giant Peach" for your viewing pleasure!
